Mad Mark's....beef and ice cream worth coming back for more!

Mad Mark's 23 East Kapitolyo Drive, Pasig

After a long hectic morning of NKTI's Kidney month opening ceremonies, I had to rush to unilab's Bayanihan hall for a Male infertility lecture . Since this place is so near Ellen, we went on a lunch /shopping date.

We decided on Kapitolyo and we picked Mad Mark's for lunch. The place is pretty easy to miss. The doorway is small and the street sign ids dominated by another food joint's sign. Parking was also a bitch . The Lia's cake beside this placed a metal structure to discourage parking for non-customers. Now, Ellen, a lawyer's daughter, promptly went out of the car and moved the structure out of the way. Public place daw yun at wala silang karapatan sa sidewalk! Go girl!

The place is small with approximately 8-10 small tables. orders are placed at this counter and your food will be served at your table.

Now for the food......

Ellen decided on the steak salad.you can choose the size of the meat as well as how you want it cooked. She decided on the small (150 grams), medium. The meat was done just right and it was tender.

I opted for the Lunberjack steak sandwich (with tillomok coop cheese) half size. The sandwich was really good and the beef strips were incredibly tender. How I wished I had not eaten during the lecture so I could have ordered a whole sandwich!

The home brewed ice tea came in a tall glass. You can just taste the refreshing kalamansi they added to the tea.

The bill for the entrees and two iced teas came to a total of Php 475. Not bad as we were extremely happy with our meal. It was priced just right that we can splurge some more into dessert!

Mad mark's boasts of their specialty ice creams "made from scratch".

Now for two scoops of ice cream we were charged 110 php rather than 70 php per scoop per cup. On the right is the Madagascar half baked- creamy vanilla goodness ! Ellen got the Apple cinnamon (left) which tasted like apple pie. If you love cinnamon and/or apple pie you will be a fan of this! A perfect dessert after a steak meal!

The Verdict: Will definetely come back with a much bigger appetite. I am a steak girl and will surely get the big sized ones next time. And of course will end a perfect meal with one of their home made ice creams!
